Just a Point of International Law I Haven't Seen Anywhere

I was thinking about the attacks on American embassies, consulates, and "safe houses" these last few weeks and I suddenly remembered something.  According to international law, an embassy or a consulate, along with the property they stand on, are considered to be the sovereign property of the nation they represent.  Therefore any attack on them is an act of war.

Also, as explained by Richard Nixon in his book No More Vietnams, every country has a responsibility under international law to prevent its soil from being used as a launching pad for attacks on another country.  Therefore, when the Islamists attacked our embassies, consulates, "etc.", we had the right, since the host countries were apparently unable to keep the terrorists from using their soil to launch their attacks from, to stop the attacks ourselves.

Cruise missiles and smart bombs, anyone?
