From Victor Davis Hanson:
"Many liberals believe there is no need to own semiautomatic assault
rifles, magazines that hold more than ten bullets, or even
semi-automatic handguns. They argue that hunters and sportsmen don’t
need such rapid-firing guns to kill their game — and that slower-firing
revolvers and pump- or bolt-action rifles are sufficient for home
protection."
It occurs to me that if I were camping in the woods or hiking in the mountains, and I were attacked by a bear, a cougar (no, not
Courteney Cox), or even a rabid wolf (remember
Old Yeller), I might find it necessary, even vital, to squeeze off as many shots as possible as fast as possible. Even if Il Duce Cuomo and King Barack I disagree.
